This class presents the most popular yet easy to use apps for each of the top categories: furniture, tech/electronics, clothing, books, vehicles, art, jewelry and more. Learn which used items sell best, what can’t be sold, and how to avoid scammers. Includes photography tips, pros and cons, dos and don’ts, tips and strategies, costs and how you get paid. Determine which apps are the best match for the items you want to sell. 

Ages 18+

Create beautiful handmade greeting cards while learning professional paper crafting techniques in a relaxed, creative environment. Whether students are complete beginners or have previous crafting experience, each workshop is designed to provide step-by-step instruction while encouraging creativity and personal expression. Students will leave with three handcrafted cards, matching envelopes, and the confidence to continue creating at home. No experience necessary.

Age range: 16+

This course is for learners who have completed High Beginning Korean Language and Culture 2 or who have a foundation in basic conversation. You will be introduced to clausal connectives expressing reasons and will practice making requests and expressing purpose in a variety of situations. From a cultural perspective, you will explore age-based birthday traditions and dining etiquette as a form of courtesy in Korean society. This course will help you communicate more clearly and appropriately in everyday situations.

Age range: 17+

This course is designed to combine cardio, strength training, and mobility to meet your goals. Exercises can be customized for your fitness level. All levels welcome! Perfect for individuals who know they want to do something but not sure what!

Formulate your own signature fragrance in one hands-on lab session. You'll work with professional aromatic compounds and build a custom scent by blending top, heart, and base notes to your exact specifications. We cover concentration levels, scent layering, and the chemistry of how fragrance works before you bottle and label your finished creation as an Eau de Parfum, Eau de Toilette, or Cologne. No chemistry background required. All materials provided.

Age range: 18+

This course is designed to help you learn techniques to avoid, de-escalate, and remove yourself from unsafe and uncomfortable situations. Learn how to react and protect yourself (and your loved ones) when de-escalation and avoidance are not possible. We will use real world scenarios based on current events, including your input and concerns. Perfect for solo travelers and college bound students! All experience and fitness levels are welcome! 

Age range: 13+

Join us for a educational walk through Shadow Cliffs Regional Recreation Area where you will observe the return of  the winter bird species.You will learn to identify these birds by their field marks, with special attention to east-west migratory species, such as the Loggerhead Shrike, Red-breasted Sapsucker, Say’s Phoebe, Pine Siskins, and Townsend's Warbler. Additionally, the group will identify various shorebirds and even raptors. Beginning birders welcome! This educational walk involves walking through the park grounds, possibly up to a mile, so please wear comfortable, closed-toed shoes. 

Location: Shadow Cliffs Regional Recreation Area, Pleasanton CA. Please park in the "Shadow Cliffs North Beach parking lot." Entry fee for Shadow Cliffs is $6.00. Students are responsible for this fee.

Lights, camera, create! What if your drawings could move… and your sculptures could star in their own movie? Bring your imagination to life frame by frame! In this hands-on stop-motion animation workshop-style class, you’ll transform your artistic talents into an animated short film. Design and build your own miniature sets, sculpt expressive plasticine characters, sketch dynamic charcoal scenes, and craft an original storyline from start to finish. Then bring it all together with music, titles, and credits. 

Materials: You will need a device with a camera, such as a fully-charged cell phone, and a software app to create the movie (guidance provided). 

Age range: 16+

During our Sunol Wilderness Regional Preserve birding walk, you will observe winter species returning to the area. We will spend time learning to identify these birds by their field marks, focusing on east-west migratory species, such as Red-breasted Sapsucker, Pygmy and Red-breasted Nuthatch, Say’s Phoebe, Pine Siskins, and wintering warblers. Beginning birders welcome! This educational walk involves walking through the park grounds, possibly up to a mile, so please wear comfortable, closed-toed shoes. 

Location: Sunol Wilderness Regional Preserve. We will meet by the Sunol Visitor Center. Entry fee for Sunol is $5.00. Students are responsible for this fee.

Imagine that it is late at night and you, and/or your daughter, are alone and are walking to your car from the restaurant. The parking lot is empty, and out of the corner of your eye you see a large figure approaching you and they continue to approach...and quickly....What Would You Do?  Would you know what to do? If you find yourself drawing a blank to both of these questions, or if you are unsure of what you may know will work, join our program; we will you basic and easy to learn movements that will aid you in protecting yourself during a physical attack.

In this course, you will learn:

• Victim vs. Non-Victim behavior
• Proper Striking Techniques with the Hands-Legs-Feet-Knees-Elbows
• Grab Escapes
• Effective Body Targets
•  Drills to enhance familiarity and efficacy in use.
