    Ready to create your own 2D games? In this exciting course, students will dive into Unity, the industry-standard tool used by professionals, and learn to design, program, and bring games to life! Through step-by-step tutorials, students will master C# basics, explore 2D physics, and learn essential game development skills like object creation and user interface design. By the end, they’ll have a portfolio of original games to showcase their creativity and coding abilities!

    Experience some of the basics of 3D workflows exploring hard surface modeling, digital sculpture, and animation. In this camp, students will use Autodesk Maya to learn about the core concepts of 3D modeling, how to create props and environments, and how a 3D animation rig works.

    Interested in babysitting? Be prepared with CPR, First Aid, and Safety skills! This course is ideal for youth and teens wanting basic CPR and First Aid knowledge with a focus on childcare scenarios.This course can equip you with the knowledge to keep the kids in your care safe. A mix of instruction and practice, as well as the opportunity to walk through real life scenarios, will help you prepare for the unexpected. This is a recognized CPR and First Aid class. This course will cover CPR basics, including how to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for child and infant and care for a choking child or infant. In addition, students will learn how to recognize and treat sudden illness, wound care, treatment of anaphylactic shock (use of epi-pens), and how to respond to mechanical and head injuries. In this class, students will also cover situational awareness as it pertains to safety and protection. Students will be given the opportunity to work through specific scenarios and by the end of the course, should have a good understanding of basic level of care.  Successful completion of this course will earn the student a nationally recognized Babysitter CPR and First Aid Certificate.

    By the end of this class, you will learn how to... 

    • assess situations to understand how to provide care
    • perform CPR on Child or Infant, with or without an AED
    • recognize and treat sudden injury or illness
    • care for a choking child or infant

Reach your basketball goals with the help of Las Positas Head Coach James Giacomazzi and staff. This Northern California camp is formatted to help fine-tune your shooting, footwork, and ball-handling skills to ultimately improve your mental toughness and confidence.

    The Complete Skills Camp helps players of all abilities develop athletically, refine fundamental basketball skills and enhance their skill set at the post, wing or guard position.

    Welcome to the world of fencing! Join us by learning the basics in the first week. You will be advancing, retreating, and lunging with a sword in hand! By the second week, you will be fencing against opponents using electric equipment. How much more fun can it get!!!

    This is an easy, hand-building ceramics course in two parts, catering to students with little or no previous ceramics experience. In this course, you will create a beautiful wall sculpture in clay, guided by an art educator, Thomasin Dewhurst. Participants will be instructed step-by-step in a series of two lessons that cover preparing, working with, and modeling in clay, creating an original sculptural design, working with under-glazing and glazing techniques, and learning about kiln-firing. To give time for the pieces to be kiln-fired before glazing, the course is divided into two lessons that are two weeks apart. There will be a short meet-up after the final kiln-firing so that students can collect their finished pieces. This course is a fun, relaxed way to learn about working with clay, resulting in a beautiful art work you will be proud to display. 

    Materials: Clay, glazes, and firing cost included in course fee

In this summer camp, we will draw and paint our own character in Photoshop, taking style, costuming, and props into consideration, as well as the character's expressions and gestures.

    Unlock your creativity in a four-day, multi-media art adventure. In this camp, learn pencil and charcoal drawing, acrylic and watercolor painting, ceramics and sculpture from recycled materials. With the guidance of local artist and art educator, Thomasin Dewhurst, students will improve their art-making skills and think in depth about the ideas, composition, color, techniques and subject matter that go into making their artistic creations. Beginners welcome.

This course is a blend of online instruction and in-person workshops.

    • Reflect on areas for growth as well as reflect on strengths
    • Engage in meaningful exploration of potential career paths
    • Understand and engage with the Career Transitioning Excellence Processes ( CTEx)
    • Strengthen problem solving, leadership, team building, and online research skills

    Materials: Students will be provided with a course starter packet and are asked to have an Gmail account, along with a pen or pencil. All Students will have access to a computer lab for their analytical and computational needs. Students are allowed to complete part of their work at home as long as they can access their Cloud accounts. We highly encourage students to not use their phones during class.

Discover the fundamentals of compelling visual design and build real-world skills as you paint alongside experienced instructors. Let your creativity stretch across the wall!

     Each week, we will focus on a different aspect of creating a mural from start to finish:

    • pursuing mural painting opportunities for publicly and privately owned spaces
    • creating a strong, effective design with stakeholders in mind
    • integrating the principles of design with thematic needs
    • creating and revising designs with your client
    • preparing the wall
    • keeping the mural site clean
    • transferring your design to the wall
    • painting the mural itself
    • photographing the mural
    • clear coating the mural to protect from damage/degrading
    • organizing a ribbon cutting we will join in on to celebrate our completed mural.

    Materials included!

    Location: The in-person portions of this course are held off-site at Casa Jam in Fremont, and the mural will be painted at KIPP King Collegiate in San Leandro.

    About your instructors: Jared and Justin have 14 years of combined education and mural painting experience. They are local artists and co-owners of Cassa Jam, an art studio and store that focuses on building an art community in the Bay Area.

    Attention Coaches, Instructors, and Athletes! Be prepared with sports-related CPR and First Aid skills!  This course can provide you with the vital knowledge you will need to respond with confidence when something goes awry on the field or in the gym. We will cover CPR basics, including how to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for adult, child, and infant, care for a choking individual and use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED). In addition, students will learn how to recognize and treat sudden illness, wound care, treatment of anaphylactic shock (use of epi-pens), and how to respond to mechanical and head injuries. Students will be given the opportunity to work through specific scenarios and by the end of the course, should have a good understanding of basic level of care.  While similar to a standard CPR and First Aid course, this class focuses on situations and scenarios for sports and physical activities. Successful completion of this course will earn the student a nationally recognized BLS CPR Certificate and a First Aid Certificate.     Attention Coaches, Instructors, and Athletes! Be prepared with sports-related CPR and First Aid skills!  This course can provide you with the vital knowledge you will need to respond with confidence when something goes awry on the field or in the gym. We will cover CPR basics, including how to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for adult, child, and infant, care for a choking individual and use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED). In addition, students will learn how to recognize and treat sudden illness, wound care, treatment of anaphylactic shock (use of epi-pens), and how to respond to mechanical and head injuries. Students will be given the opportunity to work through specific scenarios and by the end of the course, should have a good understanding of basic level of care.  While similar to a standard CPR and First Aid course, this class focuses on situations and scenarios for sports and physical activities. Successful completion of this course will earn the student a nationally recognized BLS CPR Certificate and a First Aid Certificate. Whether you have no experience or just need a refresher, this class will work for you! This course is ideal for coaches, instructors, and anyone who participates in sports leagues or trains in martial arts.
